Squash Queensland announce a new Chairperson/ President
Squash Queensland are happy to announce that a new Chair has been selected. With the resignation of former Chair Andrew Dent from Toowoomba, a space opened up for the top role. In a unanimous decision, the Squash Queensland Board elected new Board member Peter Hoult from Emerald to become interim Chair until the next AGM in December later this year. Peter comes with a wealth of Governance expertise as a supervisor in the mining sector. He also has a healthy grounding in Squash with his having 2 kids playing the game, and being the President of Central Region in Queensland for a number of years. Squash Queensland CEO Warren Heilig said: Peter was a fantastic choice to take the reigns. The Association has alot of work ahead of it and we have a fantastic group of people on the Board that will ensure we get this great sport back on track.
Daniel Brunt (Burleigh Leagues Group CEO) has also been appointed Treasurer with Debjani Maitra stepping down.
