Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer is responsible for providing strategic leadership, comprehensive operational oversight, and driving revenue generation for Squash Queensland. The CEO will be a dynamic and influential advocate for the sport, driving its growth and ensuring its long-term viability.

The CEO is accountable for the following areas:

1. Strategic Direction
2. Financial Managent
3. Government Investment
4. Commercial Sponsorship
5. People & Culture
6. Partnership

The CEO will be instrumental in driving growth across the following areas: People, Places & Spaces, Partnerships and Pathways. Underpinning these priorities will be the development and implementation of sustainable business models.

You will have the opportunity to travel across Queensland and interstate. 

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Proven executive leadership experience, preferably within the sports or not-for-profit sector.
• Demonstrated success in strategic planning and execution.
• Strong financial acumen and experience in managing budgets and securing funding.
• A track record of successful stakeholder engagement, including government and commercial partners.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for sport and a commitment to the growth and development of squash.
• Ability to inspire and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
• Understanding of the Queensland sporting landscape and relevant government policies.
